The Nubia Flip3 has officially launched, bringing another affordable foldable option into a space still dominated by premium models. While it won’t match the Galaxy Z Flip7 in raw power, Nubia is betting big on value and it might just deliver.

Unveiled first in Japan, the Nubia Flip3 continues the brand’s clamshell foldable line. Like its predecessors, it sticks to a simple formula: a sleek folding design, a secondary cover screen, and pricing that undercuts rivals.

Inside, Nubia has upgraded the chipset to MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400X, a small but meaningful leap over the Flip2’s 7300X. It pairs with 6 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage, keeping performance squarely in the mid-range zone.

Samsung teases big First Look launch ahead of CES 2026

Samsung will kick off CES 2026 early with its First Look event on January 4, teasing new AI, display tech, and possibly the Galaxy Z TriFold.

The Flip3 may look premium, but it clearly targets the mid-tier buyer. Its 6.9-inch FHD+ OLED folds down to reveal a 4.0-inch external display handy for quick tasks without opening the phone. Both screens support a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.

Key specs of the Nubia Flip3 include:

That battery size stands out among foldables, many of which sacrifice battery life for slimmer designs. IP54 certification also adds some durability, though it won’t survive a full dunk.

While full global details remain unclear, the Flip3 is expected to go on sale in mid-January. If Nubia hits the sweet spot between the Flip1’s €399 and the Flip2’s €699 price tags, the Flip3 could land as one of the most accessible foldables yet.

With competitors like Motorola in the mix, Nubia is proving that foldables don’t need to be luxury items just smartly made.
